The 3rd
National Water Summit 2009
October
7th 2009, Croke Park, Dublin
The essential
meeting place for Ireland's Water Professionals
2009 is an important year
for European water policy. By the end of this year, the first River
Basin Management Plans must be established by Member States, laying
down specific measures to ensure that all EU waters reach good quality
status by 2015.
The successful development and implementation of the
river basin plans is key to water policy and offers the opportunity
to take key decisions on our water management for the future.
In the context of this process, the Sunday Business
Post and iQuest are delighted to be hosting the 3rd
National Water Summit.
As well as highlighting issues of key importance across
the nation in the process of implementing the Water Framework Directive,
the event will also focus on innovation, water charging and water
in the context of climate change.
Following the success of the previous two events,
the 3rd National Water Summit
will bring together Ireland’s leading water experts, who will meet
to debate industry reforms, current challenges and opportunities
and other initiatives - critical for the sustainability of the water
industry.
This year’s event will provide a unique opportunity
to get a thorough and up-to-date picture on current and future developments
