The
8th National Waste Summit 2010
TIME
FOR A DECISION ON WASTE
24th November 2010, The
Convention Centre, Dublin
The National Waste Management Summit, now in its
8th successive year, is Ireland’s premier waste management conference.
Organised by The
Sunday Business Post - Ireland’s leading financial, political
and economic newspaper - and endorsed by the Irish Waste Management
Association, this event is Ireland’s most important forum for today’s
waste management professionals, environmental managers, policymakers
and senior business professionals.
Ireland has come a long way in terms of waste management best practice,
policy and legislation since the inaugural Sunday Business Post
National Waste Management Summit back in 2003, but much more needs
to be done.
Indeed, some would argue that Irish waste management is at a crisis
point. There is no better place to debate and discuss the most pressing
issues and problems than at this year’s National
Waste Management Summit on November
24th 2010 in Dublin’s
brand new Convention Centre.
An impressive panel
of speakers - national and international - all experts in
their respective fields, will discuss a number of topics, including
-
- Government Policy Update since the International Review
- The Direction of Waste
- Waste Markets
- Transfrontier Shipment of Waste
- The Poolbeg Incinerator
- Landfill Directives
- Explanation of Legal Decisions Affecting the Waste Irish Industry
as a Whole
- Role of Local Authority in Waste Management
- Control of Waste Permits
- Competition in Waste Industry
- The Regulation of Waste.
Who should
attend -
- Directors and senior managers in waste operations
- Local authority directors, managers and SEO (senior executive
officers) in charge of environmental services
- Advisers to the waste industry - legal, financial, environmental
and engineering.
