Environment Ireland
2006
Environment Ireland is
Ireland's largest annual conference on environmental policy and
management. With the success of last year's inaugural event, this
year the conference and exhibition have been moved to the larger
Burlington Hotel venue
The event - which is organised in association with
the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of the Environment,
Heritage and Local Government - will take place over two days -
4th and 5th September 2006 - allowing maximum opportunity
for all those with an interest in environmental issues to attend.

With environmental issues of increasing importance across
all sectors, the past 12 months have seen much activity and
significant progress across a number of key areas.
The expert speaker panel at Environment Ireland (comprising
leading commentators both from within Ireland and further
afield) will examine key environmental issues in a thoughtful
and considered way.

There is an important North-South dimension to the
conference, which will highlight existing areas of best practice
- as well as drawing attention to policy areas, where all-island
co-operation can be initiated or extended.
The conference is structured into plenary and workshop
sessions, which will examine issues such as -

environmental policy and regulation; |

resource/waste management; |
|
the built environment; |
|
transport and the environment; |
|
water resources - and |
|
climate change. |
There will be plentiful opportunities for delegates
to meet with speakers - asking questions and seeking clarification
on key points, both within the conference sessions and during the
