FOUNDATION COURSE IN

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

The aim of this certified programme is to provide new and experienced managers - with responsibility for environmental matters - with the necessary information and skills to ensure optimum environmental performance and resource management. The course numbers are limited to 18 participants

IBEC’s flagship course on environmental training is in its 7th year, with over 100 participants so far. The course was designed to cover the wide range of environmental issues which Irish Industry must address. It has a broad focus and is both practical and informative without excessive detail. It is ideal for the manager who wishes to get up-to-speed on current environmental performance trends, standards and legislation.

Designed in consultation with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Clean Technology Centre, this course is suited to new and established managers with significant responsibility for environmental management. The course is run for one day per week over an eight-week period and - following completion of an exam and project - will be certified by Cork Institute of Technology.

• 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th October, 2006.

In order to ensure the maximum involvement of participants, the number of places available is limited to 18. This is a very popular course, so early booking is advised.

The cost of the course is -

• €1,950 - inclusive of documentation, meals and refreshments for IBEC members - and
• €2,300 for non-IBEC members.
