Environmental Training

The Environment has become an important factor in the overall business strategy of companies in Ireland, as environmental issues become increasingly complex. Traditional ways of addressing environmental issues - in a reactive ad-hoc manner - are proving to be highly unsatisfactory. The need for qualified people with environmental training has grown as a result of the requirement to implement an ever-increasing amount of environmental legislation.

The Office of Environmental Enforcement is a relatively recent addition within the EPA and is dedicated to the implementation and enforcement of environmental legislation in Ireland.

The core objectives of the Office of Environmental Enforcement are to bring about improved compliance with environmental legislation in Ireland and to ensure that those who flout environmental law and cause environmental pollution as a result of their actions are held to account.

An organisation has a number of options to provide the necessary expertise to guide them through the maze of legislation -

Engage consultants
Re-train existing staff
Employ staff with the relevant training.

Often, a combination of these is required, depending on the size of the organisation and their potential to impact on the environment.

SQT Training Ltd, established in 1989 - in conjunction with TMS Consultancy - provides a wide range of environmental training courses.

Founded in 1994, TMS Consultancy has become one of Ireland's leading Management Consultancy service providers. They offer a wide range of products and services to their clients - spanning the broad areas of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Information Security and Software (Click Here).
