Weber Building Solutions is pleased to announce the official
certification of its Weber.therm XM External Wall Insulation
System in Ireland by the Irish Agrément Board.
Weber Building Solutions is the first manufacturer of External
Wall Insulation systems to be awarded this distinction.
The official presentation of the certificate took place
at this year's PlanExpo exhibition in Dublin with the Minister
for Communications, Marine & Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey
T.D - who presented the certificate to Weber’s Managing Director,
Mr Eamon McDonnell.
Weber.therm XM is a render protected External Wall Insulation
System, comprising insulation, mesh cloth reinforcement and
thick mineral renders and is designed to meet the exacting
durability and performance standards required in Ireland.
Weber.therm XM is manufactured at Weber’s production plant
in Ballyclare.
The Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government's
Floor Area Compliance Certificate (FACC) states that - "the
key elements of construction in new houses will have a life
in the order of 60 years". The Weber.therm XM EWI
system is classified as a key element within the new build
construction and, as a result, requires a 60-year design life
- this has been confirmed in the IAB certificate.
Irish Agrément Board certification is expected shortly
for the Weber.therm XL System, which incorporates expanded
metal lath reinforcement and Weber mineral renders.
