Advanced EMS Auditor Course
BACKGROUND
The need for developing special skills in carrying out objective
and systematic environmental audits is growing rapidly, as companies
prepare for ISO 14001:2004 and EMAS.
This 5-day Environmental Auditors Training Course
has been designed specifically for members of in-house company environmental
teams - or management consultancies and certification bodies - who
wish to develop their skills and knowledge of the Environmental
Management System Audit process.
OBJECTIVES
On completing this course the participant will -
- Understand the requirements of ISO 14001 and EMAS
- Be able to evaluate and modify existing environmental management
systems, to comply with either ISO 14001 or EMAS
- Be able to act as Lead Auditor in planning, conducting and leading
internal or external audits
- Understand the importance of objective evidence and how to collect
it
- Be able to evaluate and report on results of audits.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Professionals who may wish to attend the course range from - 1st,
2nd and 3rd party auditors, environmental professionals wishing
to audit EMS, Quality auditors wishing to develop their skills in
EMS auditing, Health & Safety trained personnel and others who are
familiar with EMS standards - such as ISO 14001 and EMAS.
Students are also encouraged to attend the course.
