Port Company, the wholly State-owned commercial
company that operates Dublin Port, is poised to
buy 40 hectares of motorway-connected land adjacent
to the capital to support its future growth.
Minister for Housing Simon Coveney, TD, has announced
the allocation of funding of €22 million for the
development by Dublin City Council of new social
housing apartments on Dominick Street, Dublin 1.
Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Mr. Shane
Ross TD has announced the award of funding for greenway
projects in Kildare, Meath, Longford and Westmeath.
The Port of New Ross has been a hub for dry and
liquid bulk traffic and project cargoes for many
years. In 2015, total trade through the port exceeded
286,000 tonnes.
