Irish Water has submitted an application to the
Minister of the Environment, Community and Local
Government, for a licence for marine site investigation
works to progress the development of the Arklow
Wastewater Treatment Plant (WwTP).
Irish Water last week briefed a number of business
representative groups to update them on changes
to the administration of their water bill that will
shortly be implemented for business customers.

of High Rate Algae Pond technology as an eco-innovative
solution for the treatment of waste water.
Irish Water will carry out site investigation work
in the Tolka Valley beginning Monday, 27 June for
a proposed project with an investment of over €30m
which will help prevent uncontrolled overflows to
the River Tolka and flooding in Mulhuddart.
Irish Water has commenced work on the €18.4 million
Donegal Group B project which includes the development
of new sewerage schemes in Killybegs, Bundoran,
Glencolumbkille and Convoy.
Fresh water is abundant in some areas of our planet,
and scarce in others. Of course we can transport
fresh water by sea, but that's expensive. Can we
